Broad industrial applications of low temperature non-equilibrium plasma in the pollution control processes require very reliable and efficient installations. It is usually a power supply that determines the reliability and efficiency of the whole plasma generation system and very often it just decides if the process has the prospects for common usage in industry. Reliability as well as low investment and exploitation costs are important factors, which shall be taken into consideration during design and construction process of the industrial plasma reactors’ installations. The paper presents multi-stage plasma reactors with gliding arc discharge and the idea of its power systems. The presented arrangement enables to use advantage of three-phase power system to energize multi-electrode and multi-stage plasma reactors. These configurations allow gliding arc discharge to penetrate and to treat large volumes of polluted gases at atmospheric pressure and conditions typical for industrial processes. The proposed systems are suitable to energize not only reactors with gliding arc discharge but also for plasmatrons with arc discharges of similar current voltage characteristics.
