Mixing of suspension using a curved-blade impeller

Abstrakty
The frequency of impeller rotations required for suspension of solid particles in water was measured. On the basis of these experiments the functional relations were determined that enabled a description of the impeller rotation frequency as a dependence of the concentration of relative size of solid particles. Measurements of the power demand led to the conclusion that for the two tested Pfaudler type impellers (Did = 1.54 and 2) the latter one required less energy for solid particles suspension
