The created methods and the logical scheme of an alternative selection based on it, allow for the adoption of decisions that optimally satisfy the technical parameters of roof repairs and the financial possibilities of a builder in each concrete case. It is here suggested that one selects a rational version of the roof repairs in a step-by-step way by assessing the alternatives with the help of multi-criteria decision methods (i.e. Topsis and Promethee). Each stage has pre-selected assessment criteria, decision methods and a formulated database. The initial stages include the following steps: an assessment of the roofs state following prepared methods, a definition of a tentative price of the work and a preliminary selection of the alternatives. The next stage includes an analysis of the possibilities to equip an extra garret-floor, as an alternative for repairs of the existing roof. If such a decision does not satisfy the pre-set conditions then we pass on to the following stage, which is a selection of the optimal way to repair the roof.

Rozważane metody i schematy logiczne pozwalają przyjmować racjonalne rozwiązania, które odpowiadają wymaganiom remontu dachu i finansowym możliwościom klienta. W podstawowych etapach w celu wybrania racjonalnego wariantu remontu dachu zaleca się wykorzystanie metod wielokryterialnych (Topsis, Promethee). Każdy etap przyjmowania rozwiązań ma okres łona grupę wyznaczników oceny i bazę dannych. W początkowych etapach są rozwiązywane następujące zadania: ocena stanu dachu, ustalenie orientacyjnego kosztu robót, przyjęcie możliwych wariantów. W następnym etapie jest analizowana możliwość wykonania mansardy jako alternatywy dla remontu istniejącego dachu. Jeżeli takie rozwiązanie jest nie do przyjęcia, to dokonuje się wyboru najlepszego wariantu remontu. Na podstawie tej pracy przygotowano materiał R-26-00 „Techniczne technologiczne rozwiązania remontu dachów płaskich w budynkach mieszkalnych wielorodzinnych".
