W artykule przedstawiono badania przeprowadzone na terenie niecki tomaszows-kiej, mające na celu określenie optymalnej lokalizacji zbiornika Sulejów. Przedstawiono także materiały stanowiące podstawę do prac projektowych zapory i zbiornika. Pod kątem bezpieczeństwa omówiono pomiary i badania związane z bieżącą eksploatacją obiektów zbiornika.

In the paper there are presented investigations carried out on the area of the Tomaszów syncline which aimed at determination of optimum location of the Sulejów reservoir. There have been also presented materials making the basis for planning of the dam and the reservoir. Furthermore there have been discussed measurements and investigations connected with the current exploitation of the reservoir from the point of view of security of the object.
