W artykule podjęto problem stanu jakościowego wód rzecznych zachodniej i południowej Lubelszczyzny; uwzględniono wody „przełomowego" odcinka Wisły i jej prawobrzeżnych dopływów, a także Tanew i Ladę. Na podstawie badań przeprowadzonych w latach 1981-1997 dokonano oceny cech fizyczno-chemicznych i klasylikacji w zależności od warunków przyrodniczych i stanu zagospodarowania terenu zlewni. Przez porównanie z wynikami innych wcześniejszych badań określono dynamikę zmian zanieczyszczenia wód.

In the paper, there has been taken up the problem of the state of quality of river waters in the southern and western part of the Lublin province; there have been taken into account the waters of the „ravined" section of the Vistula and its right-bank tributaries as well as the rivers Tanew and Lada. On the basis of investigations carried out in the years 1981-1997 has been made estimation of physical and chemical features of water and their classification according to natural conditions and to the way the catchment area has been managed. By comparison with results of other earlier made investigations the Authors define the dynamic of changes in pollution of the mentioned above waters.
