The rate constants and activation energies of the thermal decomposition reactions, as well as the initiation abilities of free-radical process (rate constants of initiation; coefficients of effectiveness of initiation) of tertiary peroxides with a general chemical formula R'C(CH3)2O2(CH3)2CR, where R = 1- or 2-naphthyl, and R = Me, Ph, 1 - or 2-naphthyl were reported. The thermal stability and initiation efficiency of peroxides with R' = 1-naphthyl were found to be much lower than those with R' = 2 naphthyl.
