Abstrakty
The results of investigation on the regeneration of EDT A in the process of production of inorganic sparingly soluble magnesium salts have been presented. In the intermediate stage of this process the presence of sparingly soluble and perfectly filterable salt MgH 2 Y. 6H2O (I) (YEDT A anion) is observed. Precipitation of (I) is selective. Other divalent and trivalent cations do not have this feature. Regeneration of EDT A anion was carried out through Mg2 Y .9H 20 (II) in water has been worked out experimentally as well as conditions of the transformation of (II) into (I) in the reaction with H Cl. MgH2Y.6H2O can be reused for the precipitation of sparingly soluble magnesium salt.
