Abstrakty
W artykule przedstawiono ewolucję i kształtowanie się automatyki jako dyscypliny technicznej i naukowej w ujęciu historycznym. Nie pretendując do kompletności, podano krótką. charakterystykę istotnych kierunków rozwoju współczesnej automatyki, wspomaganych aktualnie przez znaczące inwestycje finansowe. Przedstawiono rozwiązania na temat perspektywy i konsekwencji wprowadzenia na grunt automatyki metod sztucznej inteligencji. W artykule zaprezentowano subiektywny wybór istotnych, przełomowych wynalazków i podejść analitycznych oraz podobnie subiektywne uwagi o perspektywicznych kierunkach rozwoju automatyki.
In the paper the process of growing of the control engineering into the mature branch of technology and at the same time into an important academic discipline has been described. The overview and selection of material doesn't pretend to be complete. However a brief characteristics of the important development trends of the contemporary control theory and engineering has been tried. The important role of economy for shaping the progress of the discipline has been implicitly pointed out. Special attention has been paid to the promising yet not particularly productive interference between control methods and artificial intelli-gence techniques. The choice of milestones and opinions about possible development trends are highly subjective, although based on the results of collective reflections within such organisations like IEEE, IF AC and IFR.
