Determination of selenium in tablets arid therapeutical nutritions, using adsorptive stripping voltammetry (AdSV), graphite furnance atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and inductively coupled plasma - mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) methods is reported. In AdSV a control growth mercury drop electrode (CGMDE) was used as the working electrode and 0.1 mol (-l) HCl0(4) solution containg Cu(II) as supporting electrolyte. This method was applied to selective determination of Se(IV) in tablets (Curtis Healthcare's "Ekovit", Power Health's "Selenium and Zinc", Ferrosan's "Multi-tabs") and therapeutical nutrition (Abbott's "Ensure") after microwave digestion. The results obtained by AdSV were compared with those obtained by AAS and ICP-MS. Nickel nitrate was used as a modifier in AAS method. The mass peak of s2Se was used to determine the selenium content by ICP-MS. The procedure developed enables to determine selenium quantitatively with a satisfactory accuracy and precision in multicomponent tablets and therapeutical nutritions with no need for isolating it from the matrix.
Metodami adsorpcyjnej woltamperometrii inwersyjnej (AdSV), absorpcyjnej spektro metrü atomowej z kuwetą grafitową (AAS) i spektrometrü masowej z plazmą indukcyjnie sprzężoną (ICP-MS) oznaczano selen w tabletkach i preparatach diety medycznej. Se(IV) oznaczano na kroplowej elektrodzie rtęciowej o kontrolowanym wzroście powierzchni (CGMDE) w 0.1 mol 1(-1) roztworze HC104 z dodatkiem Cu(II). Opracowaną metodę AdSV zastosowano do oznaczania selenu w tabletkach ("EkoviY' firmy Curtis Healthcare, "Selenium and Zinc" firmy Power Health, "Multi-tabs" firmy Ferrosan) i preparacie diety medycznej ("Ensure" firmy Abbott), po mineralizacji z wykorzystaniem energii mikrofalowej. Otrzymane wyniki porównano z wynikami uzyskanymi metodą AAS i ICP-MS. Jako modyfikatora w metodzie ASA użyto Ni(II). W metodzie ICP-MS zawartość selenu wyznaczono z piku masowego izotopu x2Se. Opracowana metodyka przygotowania prób i badań umożliwia rutynowe oznaczanie selenu w preparatach farmaceutycznych. Pełna zgodność uzyskanych wyników potwierdza, że opracowane metody można uznać za w pełni zwalidowane.
