The paper presents an experiment with an IEEE 802.15.4 Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The WSN consist of a small group of Tmote Sky devices and is implemented in TinyOS 2.0 for packet exchange in the network. The Receive Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) has been measured and analyzed. Results imply that RSSI values correlate with the distance between two nodes.
