Abstrakty
The applications of the unified approach method to the stress concentration at the vertex of V-notch in bodies under mixed-mode loading are presented. Based on the relationship between the stress intensity factor at the sharp notch vertex, the maximum stress on the boundary contour or the stress gradient at the vertex of the corresponding rounded V-notch, stress intensity factors for various domains are calculated. Presented examples include: the analysis of the stress concentration at the vertex of lens-like hole in the infinite plate under pure shear loading and calculation of the notch stress intensity factors KIV and KIIV at sharp corner of rectangular hole in infinite plate under tension.
