In the paper, artificially-triggered lightning using rocket-and-wire techniques are described. From the chosen parameters listed in the paper results that return strokes of triggered lightning are similar to those in natural lightning. Triggered lightning can be applied successfully in characterization of electromagnetic environment around the channel, lightning protection and overvoltage protection problems, and also, during verification of mathematical models which describe different lightning stages.
