The paper presents a mathematical model of three variants of a power plant: a steam power plant using fossil fuel and waste energy, and a binary power plant with water and R245ca as working media, powered with fossil fuel and co-powered with waste energy. Based on the calculations performed the conclusion can be drawn: the use of organic medium in a binary power plant allows for an increase of low-temperature geothermal/waste energy share in the total energy flux supplied to the plant and for obtaining measurable benefits in the form of higher power of the power plant.
