The paper contains choice results of analyses and computer simulations relating to estimation of overvoltage hazard due to lightning discharges in medium voltage (20 kV) overhead power lines with covered conductors. Both overvoltages due to direct and indirect (to nearby ground) lightning strokes are under consideration.
