Abstrakty
In order to determine temperature and stress distribution in a thick walled steam pipeline steam temperature, pressure and mass flow history were measured in power plant during the start-up operation of a power unit. In the first part, a problem which can be solved by an analytical method is presented. Based on the analytical solution the optimal mesh was chosen. In the second part of work, the full CFD analysis for the flow inside the pipeline was presented. Based on the calculated temperature distribution in time and space in pipeline the thermal and total stresses in thick-walled pipeline were determined. The calculated stresses are compared with the allowable values.
