Abstrakty
In the paper the two approaches to the solidification process modelling are considered (the pure metals or eutectic alloys are taken into account). The first, approach concerns the macro scale. It bases on the classical Stefan model, while on the stage of numerical simulation on the temperature recovery method [1]. The second approach concerns the micro/macro scale and it has been formulated on the basis of Mehl-Johnson-Avrami-Kolmogoroff theory [2]. The aim of research was to observe the similarities and differences between the results of numerical simulations (local cooling curves, profiles of temperature, solidification time etc.).
