Przedstawiono zależności matematyczne wiążące współczynnik odbicia kierunkowego z połyskiem zwierciadlanym. Opisano wzorce i geometrie pomiaru stosowane w pomiarach połysku zwierciadlanego oraz zasadę działania połyskomierza.

Mathematical relationships between specular reflectance and specular gloss are presented. Standards and measurement geometry conditions used into specular gloss measurements and also principle of operation of glossmeter are described.
