Abstrakty
The numerical model of heat treatment of the casting superficial layer using the TIG method is discussed. This technology consists in the heating of the part of casting surface by the moving external heat source which is displaced with the constant rate along the straight line. The thermal processes proceeding in the heated region are very intensive and the partial melting of the superficial layer takes place. In this way the effect of superficial layer structure appears. In this paper the 3D model of thermal processes in the system heat source - casting surface basing on the finite differences method (FDM) is discussed and the results of numerical computations are shown.
