Tematem wiodącym niniejszej pracy jest prezentacja wybranej klasy systemów kognitywnej kategoryzacji – klasy systemów UBIAS (Understanding Based Image Analysis Systems) umożliwiających analizę danych zapisanych w postaci obrazowej. Podstawą funkcjonowania systemów kognitywnej kategoryzacji jest realizacja szczególnego rodzaju procesów myślowych, poznawczych i wnioskujących zachodzących w mózgu człowieka i zmierzających w konsekwencji do wnikliwego opisu procesu analizy i wnioskowania.

The main subject of this publication is to present a selected class of cognitive categorisation systems – UBIAS (Understanding Based Image Analysis Systems) – which support analyses of data recorded in the form of images. Cognitive categorisation systems operate by executing a particular type of thought, cognitive and reasoning processes which take place in the human mind and which ultimately lead to making an in-depth description of the analysis and reasoning process.
