Omówiono protokół łącza abonenckiego wspierający świadczenie usług prezentacji z centrali miejscowej (CM) PSTN, w stanach spoczynkowym i zajętości łącza. Transmisja danych o modulacji ze skokową zmianą częstotliwości współdziała z protokołem łącza abonenckiego. Wymagania dotyczące sygnalizacji FSK, opartej na protokole łącza abonenckiego, obejmują wymagania co do kodowania danych, transmisji danych oraz trzech warstw protokołu na interfejsie sieciowym: fizycznej, łącza danych i prezentacji.Urządzenie końcowe łączy się z centralą miejscową linią analogową bezpośrednio lub przez sieć dostępową.

The paper specifies the subscriber line protocol for the support providing of PSTN display services at Local Exchange (LE) in "on hook" and "off hook" states. The subscriber line protocol is accomplished by using asynchronous voice-band Frequency (FSK) data transmission. The requirements imposed on the FSK signalling - based subscriber line protocol deal with data encoding, data transmission requirements and the three layers of the protocol at the network side of the interface physical layer, data link layer and presentation layer. Terminal Equipment (TE) can be connected by analogue line directly to the LE or through an Access Network (AN).
