Everyday, a plenty of methane gas is produced in anaerobic sludge digester of sewage treatment plant. Digestive methane is combustible gas and has a high combustion value. It can be used to propel electric generator. Hydrogen sulfide(H2S) in the methane has corrosiveness to the devices, which affects effective utilization of energy seriously. Digestive methane desulfurization can avoid the corrosion of electric generator, also can control the emission of sulfur dioxide. The concentration of hydrogen sulfide in digestive methane depends on the composition of sludge. Electric engine has a higher requirement. It requires that hydrogen sulfide content in methane must below 1150mg/m3. Throughing the investigation to digestive methane desulfurization of GaoBeiDian Sewage Treatment Plant, the principles and methods of digestive methane desulfurization are described in this paper. The investigation for the designation of utilizing jet stream regeneration PDS method to proceed digestive methane desulfurization in GaoBeiDian Sewage Treatment Plant is also presented.
