For the protection of the waters not only the sewage treatment plant with a sewer system is required but also a mechanical control and cleaning system installed in the sewer system. Since 30 years there were considerable investments for the storm water treatment. This investments have contributed to reduce the pollution of water. In the future there will also be more investments needful. Here is a survey over the main equipment of the bgu-Umweltschutzanlagen GmbH which is necessary for an optimal and economic storm water treatment. The main products are for regulation of water flow, for screening combined sewer overflows, for water level control and for flushing cleaning of storm water tanks. Over 20 years bgu is specialiased in developing and manufacturing mechanical equipment for the storm water treatment. One main aspect is to develop equipment which will use the kinetic energy of water. So it is possible to operate without electrical energy and to save money during installation and using of the equipment.
