Energetic potential of rape production in Poland
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
The present output of agricultural production in Poland can be reached even by reducing the agricultural acreage by 15%. It means, that 2.8 million ha can be excluded from direct agricultural use or in other words product of this acreage can be used outside agriculture. Recently it is proposed more and more often to cultivate energetic plants on those grounds. Rape is a good example, but it needs system solutions, securing stability of production for all parties which are on the market. It can be concluded that rape (both seeds and straw) can be a very important source of renewable energy in Poland. Its beneficial utilization is based on the following: - reduction of pollution by decreasing emission of sulphur compounds, C(II) and C(IV) oxides and nitrogen compounds to respond to international obligations described in "Strategy of renewable energy development in Poland" - improvement of energetic safety by diversification of sources of raw materials and sites of energy production - improvement of domestic commercial balance (decrease of liquid fuels import) - introduction of engine fuels (antimonopoly element of competition) to the market - development of agriculture - increase of production for non-food purposes, management of a considerable part of fallow 1.5 millions ha of activation of rural areas characterized by high unemployment - stimulation of the local and regional development by job creation - employment directly in new processing plants bio-fuel markets - utilization of local resources and development of indirect sectors - increase of domestic production of high- protein fodders with simultaneous limitation of imports - adaptation of domestic solutions concerning Renewable Energy Sources to regulations being in force and planned in the European Union.
