Reasons, aims, ways,and effects of the application of asbestos wastes to the construction and enhancement of roads have been presented.At chosen road sections the occurrence of asbestos wastes has been testified and the level of potential hazard of asbestos dust has been estimated. On the basis of the results of testing the chosen road sections and the official records concerning local road system base documentation has been elaborated,the level of asbestos content and the hazard for the local population with individual locations discriminated have been estimated. The most dangerous sources of noxious emission have been indicated to be urgently cleared up. The removed wastes can be used for reclamation purposes to fill excavations formed by sand, gravel, and clay mining.
