The content of nitrates in underground waters has increased considerably last years.It has been caused among others my the following phenomena: intensive application of mineral nitrogenous fertilizers in the agriculture,development of stock farming,and migration of pollutants from waste dumps and sptic tanks.One of the maost efficient denitrification methods is an ion exchange method and it is the most widely used method for the remowal of nitrates from underground waters in the countries of the Western Europe.The article present results of own research concerning the efficiency of the selective ion exchange method.
