The article deals with the relations used for calculating the time of the basic technological operation of flame cutting machines - the time of flame cutting. In order to meet this task, it defines the basic entry variables, above all the so called modified cutting length in a single flame cutting cycle, and it presents the method used to set the time for various flame cutting technologies and various types of shapes.

Przedstawiono relacje pomiędzy czasem podstawowych operacji technologicznych maszyn do cięcia płomieniowego na koszty operacji technologicznych. W celu wykonania tego zadania zdefiniowano zmienne wejściowe - długość cięcia w pojedynczym cyklu cięcia płomieniowego. Przedstawiono metodę stosowaną do ustawienia czasu dla różnych technologii cięcia płomieniowego i różnych typów kształtów.
