Efekt segregacji i badania XPS pasma walencyjnego w nanokompozytowych magazynach wodoru

Abstrakty
XPS measurements for the nanocomposites showed generally broadening of the valence bands compared to those measured for nanocrystalline alloy samples with similar compositions. The broadening of the valence bands gradually disappear after successive UHV annealing at 738 K for 1 h. The above behaviour could be explained mainly by a non-uniform distribution of atoms in the nanocomposites samples. XPS studies also showed that the surface segregation of Mg atoms in the Mg2Cu (Mg2Ni)-type nanocomposites are greater compared to that observed in nanocrystalline Mg2Cu (Mg2Ni) thin films. Surface segregation effect and valence band broadening observed in the measured nanocomposites could significantly influence their hydrogenation properties.
Można to wytłumaczyć niejednorodnym rozkładem atomów w nanokompozytach.
