W artykule przedstawiono tezę o celowości zastosowania wnioskowania abdukcyjnego w procesie planowania strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju. Podkreślono, że złożoność problematyki planowania przyszłości wymaga zastosowania niemonotonicznej metody wnioskowania, umożliwiającej znajdowanie przyczyn założonych (lub znanych) skutków. Wskazano, że systemy abdukcyjnego programowania logicznego stanowią odpowiednie narzędzie w badaniach procesu planowania zrównoważonego rozwoju.

In the paper it is proposed that the abduction inference should be used in the process of planning of strategy for the sustainable development. It is pointed out that because of the complexity of the future planning, the method of inference capable of finding the reasons is needed. The abductive logic programming (ALP) systems were indicated as suitable helper tools in the planning of strategy for the sustainable development.
