The research results of microstructure as well as hardness’s HV0.1 and resistance onto static bending of samples created from 16MnCr5 steel carburized and hardened in different quenching mediums has been presented in this work. In processes of hardening it was used 25% water polymer solution (polyglycol oxyalkilenowy) as well as oils mineral OH70 and Mar-Temp 890, which they characterize approximate curves of cooling in arrangement temperature - time and temperature - cooling speed. On basis of received results it was affirmed, that structure in case of everybody of samples in layer folded from martensite, residual austenite and small emissions of carbides, and in core from martensite and residual austenite. The opinion of grain size on transverse breakthrough of research samples having accord to scale Jenkontoret showed, that grain number was got in this samples for layer 7 or 8, and for core grain 5 or 6. The results obtained from measurements of hardness and resistance onto bending showed, that largest value of resistance were got for 25% of water polymer solution and Mar-Temp 890 oil, and smaller value were got for OH70 oil. In every yet case got result for water polymer solutions were comparable with results for oils. On basis of this results it was affirmed, that in case hardened carburized of 16MnCr5 steel during hardening the water polymer solutions and mineral oils it were been possible to apply interchangeably, at definite them parameters of work.
