Abstrakty

W artykule zaprezentowano wybrane zagadnienia fuzji i przejęć przedsiębiorstw w światowym hutnictwie żelaza. Wyszczególnione zostały głównie czynniki i motywy tych procesów oraz syntetycznie omówiono najważniejsze zrealizowane fuzje i przejęcia w Europie Zachodniej, Ameryce Północnej i Południowej oraz w Azji. Dokonali też zestawienia i krótkiej charakterystyki fuzji i przejęć zrealizowanych bądź też zaplanowanych w 1999 roku.

Selected problems of mergers and takeovers of enterprises in the world iron and steel industry are presented. The main factor and motives of these operations are specyfied and most important realized mergers and takeovers in West Europe, North and South Americas and Asia are synthetic discussed. Statements and brief characteristics of mergers and takeovers of enterprises realized or planned in 1999 were also carried out.
