W artykule przedstawiono materiały i obliczenia obrazujące sytuację cenowo-kosztową górnictwa węgla kamiennego w latach 1991 -! 997, Operując kosztami i cenami sprowadzonymi do wielkości porównywalnych, przy uwzględnieniu inflacji, prześledzić można w długim okre-sie sytuację finansową górnictwa węgla kamiennego. Łatwo zauważyć, że jednostkowe koszty sprzedanego węgla ogółem (koszty zbliżone do technicznych kosztów pozyskania węgla), mimo sezonowych wahań, ulegają obniżeniu (o jedną piątą początkowej ich wartości). Jest to efekt restrukturyzacji górnictwa węgla kamiennego. Zmniejszeniu podlegają także i ceny węgla ka-miennego; realna cena ogółem o 4,3 % przy obniżeniu w tym okresie ceny węgla koksowego o 21 %. The article presents materials and calculations depicting price - cost situation of hard coal industry in 1991 - 1997. Using costs and prices adjusted to comparable values, taking into account inflation, one can trace financial situation of coal industry in a long period. It is easy to note that unit costs of sold coal in total (costs closed to technical cost of cost winning) undergo decrease irrespective of seasonal changes (by one fifth of their initial value). It is the outcome of hard coal industry's restructuring also prices of hard coal are decreasing; the real price in total by 4,3 % with the decrease of cooking coal process in the same period by 21 %. Irrespective of formal liberalisation of prices they do not reach by now the level that would provide complied covering of coal production cost. Therefore, irrespective of restructuring efforts, the hard coal industry deteriorates its economic in financial condition.
