Zgodnie z regulacjami UE wytwarzanie energii elektrycznej, wykorzystujące rożne techniki spalania paliw pierwotnych muszą spełniać wymogi najlepszych dostępnych technik (BAT) dla obiektów nowych i istniejących. W pierwszej części artykułu opisano europejskie standardy, wynikające z unijnej dyrektywy o Zintegrowanym Zapobieganiu Zanieczyszczeniom i ich kontroli (JPPC) jako podstawę do działań modernizacyjnych w skojarzonych źródłach ciepła i energii elektrycznej (KGHM "Polska Miedz").

According to the EU regulations, power generation based on a variety of combustion technologies has to meet BAT (Best Available Technique) requirements for new and existing plants. The first part of the paper includes a general description of the EU BAT standards, following from the Directive on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) as a framework for the modernization of CHP sources in the "Polish Copper" Company.
