Kreowanie połączeń z zapleczem portu jest elementem określającym nie tylko jego pozycję konkurencyjną, ale również mającym znaczny wpływ na środowisko naturalne. Celem referatu jest przybliżenie jednej z koncepcji logistycznych, tzw. koncepcji "suchych portów" (dry port, sea outlet, inland port), która może wpływać na zmniejszenie negatywnego oddziaływania portów morskich na środowisko poprzez odpowiednie modelowanie struktury gałęziowej w ruchu dowozowo-odwozowym. W referacie, obok rozważań na temat istoty "suchych portów", zaprezentowano także ich znaczenie w realizacji koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju.

The creation of hinterland port connections is not only the element which determines port competitiveness, but also influences the natural environment. The aim of the paper is to highlight one of the logistics concept, so called "dry port" concept (dry port, sea outlet, inland port), which can result in minimizing the adverse impact of sea ports' activities on the environment through the proper modelling of a modal split in hinterland connections. The paper examined the idea of "dry ports" and their importance in realization of sustainable development concept.
