W artykule omówiono znaczenie recyklingu metali we współczesnym świecie. Przedstawiono największe podmioty sektora recyklingu złomów na świecie oraz strukturę handlu zagranicznego odpadami i złomem metali. Przedstawiono znaczenie złomu miedzi dla polskiego przemysłu i jego wpływ na miejsca pracy.

The article discusses the importance of metal recycling in the modern world. It presents the largest scrap recycling sector entities in the world and the structure of foreign trade of metal waste and scrap. The importance of copper scrap for Polish industry and its impact on jobs has been demonstrated.
