PL

W artykule przeanalizowano wpływ otoczenia tablicy rejestracyjnej pojazdu na dokładność pasowania obrazów niskiej rozdzielczości w algorytmach superrozdzielczości. Dzięki ich wykorzystaniu możliwe jest prawidłowe rozpoznawanie numerów rejestracyjnych pojazdów w ruchu, nawet przy ich nieczytelności na pojedynczych klatkach sekwencji wideo. Przedstawione wyniki eksperymentalne wykazują przydatność dodatkowych informacji widocznych w najbliższym otoczeniu tablicy (np. chłodnica, zderzak, reflektory) w procesie pasowania, co pozwala na uzyskanie obrazu wynikowego o znacznie wyższej jakości i lepszej czytelności, niż w przypadku użycia wyłącznie obrazów tablic rejestracyjnych o niskiej rozdzielczości.

The article examines the impact of vehicle's license registration plate's environment on the low-resolution images' fitting accuracy in the super-resolution algorithms. Through their use it is possible to correctly identify the registration numbers of vehicles in motion, even when they are obscure in the individual frames of the video sequence. Presented experimental results demonstrate the usefulness of additional information visible in the nearest surrounding of the register plate (e.g. radiator, bumper, car lights) in the process of fitting, which allows for the resulting image of much higher quality and better clarity than using only the low resolution license plate images.
