Pojazdy elektryczne mimo, że od niedawna poruszają się po drogach publicznych budzą coraz większe zainteresowanie. Oferują one szereg zalet, które szczególnie w centrach dużych miast mogą wpłynąć na zmniejszenie emisji zanieczyszczeń motoryzacyjnych, ale są również obarczone wadami takimi jak krótki zasięg i związane z tym faktem ograniczenie autonomii. W ograniczeniu tych niedogodności może pomóc inteligentny system planowania podróży w czasie rzeczywistym, w który wykorzystywane są informacje o aktualnej sytuacji drogowej. Taki właśnie system będzie opracowany w ramach, opisanego w artykule, systemu EcoGem. W artykule przedstawiono ogólną wizję projektu, szczególnie w kontekście wymagań w zakresie komunikacji i kooperatywnego przetwarzania danych.

Despite the fact that electric vehicles are used in public traffic for a short period of time, they arouse much interest. They offer many advantages, e.g. reducing the emission of traffic pollution in city centers. However, they are not flawless. Electric vehicles offer only a short range and therefore limited autonomy. Real-time route planner is an intelligent system using information about current traffic that they may help overcoming the mentioned limitations of electric vehicles. Development of such system is an aim of the EcoGem system described in the article. This article presents an overview of the project including the context of requirements for communication and cooperative data processing.
