W pracy zaprezentowano oprogramowanie TELESOUND, które powstało na potrzeby ćwiczenia pt. „Właściwości źródeł informacji” realizowanego w ramach laboratorium „Podstaw telekomunikacji”. W trakcie tego ćwiczenia studenci zapoznają się z podstawowymi pojęciami i mechanizmami funkcjonowania systemów telekomunikacyjnych przekazujących wiadomości na odległość poprzez kanał przestrzenny. Na przykładzie telegrafii i telefonii, studenci praktycznie poznają właściwości wiadomości generowanych przez źródło oraz cechy reprezentujących je sygnałów zapewniające skuteczne przesłanie przez kanał nadawanych wiadomości.

The paper presents software tool TELESOUND, which has been developed for the laboratory exercise „Information sources properties” from the course „Fundamentals of Communications”. The goal of this exercise is to present students with fundamental terms and functions of communications systems exchanging messages through a spatial channel. On the basis of telegraph and telephone system models students in practice gain understanding of relationships between properties of messages generated by the information source and the signal properties required for successful reception of the transmitted messages on the other side of the channel.
