The article shows the research results concerning the susceptibility of steel-aluminium connectors that were welded explosively to stress corrosion cracking. The research was carried out by applying slow strain rate test (10 -6 s -1) in air and in artificial seawater. These tests together with metallographic studies pointed out that the examined connectors show susceptibility to stress corrosion cracking.
