Abundance of attractors in an array of locally coupled nonlinear circuits

We investigate in this paper long-term (steady-state) behaviour observed in arrays of discretely-coupled third-order chaotic cells. Using computer experiments we confirmed existence of an abundance of stable final states depending only on the initial conditions applied in the individual cells. After long seemingly chaotic transients solutions of individual cells settle in a periodic mode and the array as a whole displays autowaves. We analyzed the steady-state behaviour of individual cells using Fourier transform and state-space plots. Illustrative examples are included.
