Abstrakty
Prezentowany artykuł przedstawia model MES procesu skrawania. W artykule pokazano modelowanie sił skrawania w programie MSC.MARC oraz wyniki ich weryfikacji. Ponadto pokazano inne ważne wielkości charakteryzujące proces skrawania.
The paper presents application of the Finite Element Method (FEM) as a tool in the chip formation process simulation. The simulation process is focused on the cutting forces. Modelling of the orthogonal cutting process is presented. The simulation process was made with the aid of MSC. Mare code offering capability of concurrent mechanical analysis and beat transfer analysis. The work material is modelled with the aid of quadrilateral, four-node elements, which are designed in MSC.Mare to simulate the plane strain stale. This type of element is used in ease of simulation incompressible materials for whole range of plastic strain and for the friction phenomena simulation. The cutting tool is modelled as a rigid body with beat transfer - no stresses are calculated for these elements and beat transfer analysis is conducted. Steel St3S was modelled in presented paper. To simualate the chip formation process Johnosona -Cooka flow stress model was used. Some veriyfication tests were carried out too.
