Artykuł przedstawia wyniki badań mających na celu porównanie trwałości wierteł podczas wiercenia stali austenitycznych przy wykorzystaniu minimalnego smarowania, jego dwóch odmian, oraz przy wierceniu na sucho. W ramach badań określono wpływ rodzaju chłodzenia i smarowania zarówno na trwałość wierteł jak i na chropowatość i dokładność wykonania otworów.

The paper presents results of investigations having in view the comparison of durability of cooling type on tool life during austenitic steel drilling. Two types of minimal lubrication and air cooling type were used. Investigations were carryied out on austenitic steel X2CrNi 19-11 by DIN (0oHI8N10 by PN), and the oil Blasocut Vasco USK42 as a cooling liquid was used. In frames of investigations were determined influence of cooling type on tool life, surface rougness and drilling accuracy. In artic1e was undertaken a try of explanation which of function of liquid, cooling whether lubrication, causes the growth of a tool life. The investigations show that during austenitic steel drilling the usage of lubrication bas better effects than cooling.
