Warunki pracy są czynnikiem istotnie warunkującym jakość życia pracowników oraz wpływającym na ich stan zdrowia. W Polsce badanie warunków pracy na poziomie krajowym jest badaniem obiektywnym - opiera się na wynikach pomiarów wybranych czynników szkodliwych i uciążliwych w zakładach pracy. W celu poprawy warunków pracy oraz kształtowania środowiska pracy zgodnie z potrzebami pracowników celowe jest równoległe przeprowadzanie badań wykorzystujących subiektywne oceny Środowiska pracy. Artykuł ma za zadanie zaprezentować czytelnikom badania warunków pracy uwzględniające subiektywne oceny środowiska pracy w Unii Europejskiej i wybranych krajach świata.

Working conditions have a great impact on the quality of workers' life and their well-being In Poland, a survey of working conditions on the national level is objective: it measures selected hazards related to the working environment and strenuous working conditions. However, in order to improve working conditions and adapt them to workers' needs, in addition to objective surveys, it is crudal to conduct research relying on a subjective assessment. This article presents selected surveys that assess the working environment and its influence on the workers' health subjectively.
