PL

Praca omawia problem narażenia na endotoksyny bakteryjne na stanowiskach pracy w oczyszczalniach ścieków. Przedstawiono krótką charakterystykę endotoksyn, ich pochodzenie, sposoby rozprzestrzeniania się, zalecane metody analityczne konieczne do ich identyfikacji oraz odniesienie do proponowanych wartości normatywnych. W zaprezentowanej analizie piśmiennictwa opisano stwierdzane w różnych badaniach zakresy stężeń, które mogą. się wahać od kilku do kilkuset nanogramów w metrze sześciennym. Najwyższe stężenia najczęściej mogą być obserwowane podczas procesów przeróbki osadów ściekowych, gdzie ma miejsce największa emisja pyłu organicznego. Scharakteryzowano ponadto najpowszechniej występujące skutki zdrowotne wynikające z narażenia na endotoksyny, a także możliwe do zastosowania środki zapobiegawcze.

This paper describes the problem of occupational exposure to bacterial endotoxins at wastewater treatment plants. There was presented short characteristic of endotoxins, their origin, the ways of exposure, analytical methods for their determination and at least problems with proposal exposure limits. The analysis of literature showed, that the exposure levels can reach up to several hundred of nanograms per cubic meter. The highest concentrations can be found at sewage sludge treatment processes, due to the high levels of organic dust. Moreover, there were described the most often health effects occurring with endotoxin exposure, as well as proposal protection safety measures.
