Preliminary laboratory tests verified the fact that chemical changes, which were sporadically shown by colour changes of polymers, took place at very small gamma radiation doses, even though these were only slightly increased as compared to the permanent Earth radiation. These changes take place in waterproofing plastic foils within a relatively short period of time due to microflora impact.
