Namorit - a new kind of bentonite for classical moulding sands

Abstrakty
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań nowego produktu. Badania te obejmują techniczną ocenę przydatności bentonitu dla odlewnictwa w zakresach zdolności pęcznienia i roztwarzania oraz odporności termicznej. Przytoczono także wyniki badań parametrów technologicznych mas formierskich z użyciem nowego bentonitu w odlewni +GF+ w Mettman zebrane za okres jednego roku oraz efekty prób produkcyjnych w tej odlewni. Podano także wyniki badań specjalnych dotyczących zdolności hydratacji i odporności masy formierskiej na tworzenie strupów. Namorit S stanowi rozszerzenie oferty Hüttenes-Albertus w zakresie dodatków do klasycznych mas formierskich.
In the article research results of a new product are presented. The research comprised the technical estimation of the bentonite usefulness for foundry industry in the scopes of growth and solubilazmg abilities as well as of the thermal resistance. There also are reported results of determination of the process parameter of moulding sands with using the new bentonite in the + GF+ foundry in Mettman, collected during one year, as well as results of the production tests in this foundry. Farther on the results of special investigations concerning hydratation ability and resistance of the moulding sand against the buckle formation are given. NAMORIT S enlarges the offer of Hüttenes-Albertus in the scope of additions for the classical moulding sands.
