Niezwykłe zdarzenie jakie miało miejsce 6 czerwca br., kiedy to Rektor Akademii Górniczo - Hutniczej profesor Ryszard Tadeusiewicz ufundował swoim własnym sumptem piękną, brązową rzeźbę studentki Małgosi, zaintrygowało mnie na tyle, że zachęcony przez Redaktora Naczelnego Przeglądu Odlewnictwa opisałem to zdarzenie. W pierwszej części tej notatki zamieściłem intencję Rektora, który postanowił upamiętnić nawiązane w murach Uczelni miłości i sympatie, dla przypomnienia wszystkim przechodzącym, uczącym się studentom, że Akademia Górniczo - Hutnicza jest tak piękną, że warto w niej nie tylko zdobywać wiedzę, lecz także zakochać się. Szczególny sentyment ma Fundator, nie tylko do miejsca ale i do tej daty 6 czerwca roku..., który nie został przez Pana Rektora ujawniony... W końcowej części mojej notatki zamieściłem odpowiedź Rektora na moje pytanie czy przewiduje uzyskiwanie przez studentów pomocy ze strony Małgosi w zdawaniu egzaminów...? Pan Rektor odpowiedział, że jeśli nawet nie wpłynie to na wyniki egzaminów, to może uczyni ich życie piękniejszym i bogatszym. A dalej obok pozdrowień dla odlewników, w tym szczególnie dla odlewników z AGH, Pan Rektor podziękował odlewnikom za ich wiedzę i kunszt i za to, że ich praca pozwala nadać ulotnym marzeniom trwały, niezniszczalny kształt.

An unusual event took place on June the 6th 2002 when the Rector of the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy, Professor Ryszard Tadeusiewicz, presented - made at his own expense - a beau-tiful bronze sculpture of the student Małgosia; it aroused my curiosity so much that, encouraged by the Editor - in - Chief of Przegląd Odlewnictwa, I decided to describe this fact. In the first part of my comment I revealed the intention of the Rector who wanted to commemorate the feelings, aroused within the walls of this Academy, such as love, liking and friendship as well as to remind all the students coming and studying here that the Academy is so beautiful mat it is not only worth to acquire knowledge at it, but also to fall in love with it. The Founder of the sculpture has a special sentiment not only to the place, but also to the date of June the 6th of the year ..., which, however, has not been revealed by the Rector. In the final part of my short article I have placed the answer of the Rector to my question if he foresees whether the students will receive any help from Małgosia when they are passing their exams...? The Rector has replied that even if it does not influence the results of their examinations, it will make their lives more beautiful and richer. And next, apart from the greetings for all foundrymen, and especially for those who worked at the Academy, the Rector thanked them for their knowledge and mastery skill as well as for the fact that their work allows the passing dreams to take a durable and imperishable shape.
