Abstrakty
Przedstawiono aktualną sytuację w krajowym odlewnictwie po zmianach politycznych i gospodarczych oraz po znacznym spadku produkcji odlewów w wyniku załamania się rynku wschodniego i produkcji maszyn i urządzeń. Przyjmując, że w następnych latach wystąpi wzrost produkcji odlewów w wyniku rozwinięcia się w Polsce przemysłu motoryzacyjnego, a także wzrost eksportu, określono potrzebne ku temu warunki. Omówiono zmiany w podstawowych obszarach działalności Instytutu Odlewnictwa, odpowiadające oczekiwaniom polskiego odlewnictwa. Należą tutaj: rozszerzenie działalności informacyjnej, analiza rozwojowych przemysłów odlewochłonnych oraz kosztów produkcji. Drugim kierunkiem działalności jest rozwój konstrukcji odlewów z wykorzystaniem metod szybkiego prototypowania, symulacji krzepnięcia i naprężeń. Badania materiałowe realizują laboratoria wyposażone w nowoczesną aparaturę badawczą. Znaczącym obszarem działalności Instytutu jest rozwój technologii. Omówiono kierunki działania w nowych technologiach i materiałach oraz w wyposażeniu laboratoriów technologicznych. Działalność Instytutu obejmuje również szkolenie kadry technicznej i kierowniczej odlewni. Poza problematyką technologiczną, prowadzone są szkolenia z udziałem specjalistów zagranicznych w zakresie marketingu, kosztów, systemów zapewnienia jakości, a także zarządzania. Omówiono zakres i kierunki wspomagania działalności naukowo-badawczej przez Komitet Badań Naukowych oraz podano przykłady takich prac. Przystąpienie polskiego odlewnictwa reprezentowanego przez Odlewniczą Izbę Gospodarczą do Committee of Associations of European Foundries (CAEF), pozwoli na udział Instytutu we współpracy z komisjami tej organizacji, także w realizacji wspólnych prac naukowo-badawczych. Omawiając przyszłość Instytutu zwrócono uwagą na współpracę z wyższymi uczelniami oraz z Odlewniczą Izbę Gospodarczą i Stowarzyszeniem Technicznym Odlewników Polskich. Działalność Instytutu będzie w dużym stopniu ukierunkowana na potrzeby małych i średnich odlewni. Instytut nawiąże partnerską współpracę z podobnymi jednostkami badawczo-rozwojowymi Unii Europejskiej.
The article presents the current situation of the Polish foundry industry after the political and economic transformation and a considerable decline in casting production caused by the eastern market depression and reduced production of machines and equipment. Assuming that in the next years a growth in the production of castings will occur due to the developing of automotive industry and followed by the raising exports, the necessary conditions to fulfil these requirements have been determined. The changes being made in the basic areas of the Foundry Research Institute activities have been discussed. These changes meet the expectations of the Polish foundry industry. Here belong such problems as information activity, an analysis of the development of casting consuming sectors, cost analysis of production. The second trend of activities comprises development of casting design, utilizing methods of rapid prototyping, solidification simulation and simulation of stresses. Material tests, including chemical analyses, strength and structure testing are realized by a group of acredited laboratories equipped with modern apparatus and installations. Development of technologies makes an important field of the Institute activities. The main trends of activities in new technologies and materials as well as in equipment of technological laboratories have been presented. The Institute is also busy organizing various kinds of trainings both for foundry technical staff and managering staff. Apart from the problems of technologies, trainings are carried out with the participation of foreign lecturers. These trainings concern marketing, costs of castings manufacture, quality assurance systems and management. The range and trends of supporting scientific and research activities by the Committee of Scientific Research have been discussed and examples of those works have been given. The access of Polish foundry represented by the Foundry Economic Chamber, to the Committee of Associations of European Foundries (CAEF) permitted the Institute to cooperate with various commission of this organisation, thus also in the realization of joint scientific and research works. Discussing the future of the Institute attention has been paid to the necessity of intensifying the cooperation with technical universities, Foundry Economic Chamber and Polish Foundrymen's Technical Association. The activities of the Institute will be oriented at satisfying the needs of small and medium foundries, both in the sphere of transfer of technology and laboratory services. The Institute will also make efforts to establish partner cooperation with similar scientific and development institutions of the European Union.
