Z przedstawionego porównania danych liczbowych zaczerpniętych ze spisów światowej produkcji odlewów opublikowanych w Modem Casting wynika, że kraje należące i kandydujące do UE wyprodukowały w 2001 r. 21,7proc. światowej produkcji odlewów. Ta ostatnia grupa krajów (zaliczona do UE) produkuje więcej odlewów z żeliwa sferoidalnego, a także ze stopów aluminium niż to wynika z procentowego udziału w ogólnej produkcji w świecie.

From the presented comparison of the numerical data gathered from the census of the world production of castings published in Modern Casting it results that the countries belonging to the European Union and the candidates to access it produced 21.7% in the year 2001 of the total world casting production. This group of countries produces more castings made in S. iron as well as castings in aluminium alloys than it results from the total production percentage in the world.
