On-stand testing of the railway bogie frames

Podstawowym zespołem wózka kolejowego jest rama, która ze względu na swoje znaczenie dla bezpieczeństwa ruchu podlega badaniom wytrzymałościowym wg programów ujętych w normach międzynarodowych; w artykule przedstawiono opis stanowiska badawczego, omówiono sposób prowadzenia badań, ogólny zarys programu i kryteria pozytywnej oceny badanej ramy.
The basic assembly of a railway bogie is the frame which, on account of ensuring operational safety, undergoes strength testing according to programs of the international standards. Description of a testing stand, discussion of the testing procedure, general outline of the program and criteria of a positive assessment of a frame under test. Particular attention is foused on a proper design of the fastening of the frame on the stand and suitable programming of the load variations realized by hydro-pulse-cylindres used in fatigue tests. Two frames selected from among those recently tested in a railway repair shop were examples to discuss the relevant problem.
