Abstrakty

In the present paper the damage of composite materials of fiber-reinforced polymeric matrix laminate type is considered with the aim to examine their mechanical properties. The damage mode in the form of intralaminar cracks set is described in terms of second arder, symatrical damage tensor. Such a damage measure allows for considering the orientation of the defect. The crack discontinuity parameter is estimated in frame of the linear elastic facture mechanisc. The results of theoretical analusis are compared with the experimental data for carbon/epoxy laminates of cross and angle-plu stacking sequences.
